蓖麻子（學名 Ricinus communis），又名蓖麻仁、蛇麻子，常見種類包括普通蓖麻（R. communis var. communis）與印度蓖麻。其種子呈橢圓形，表面有光澤，呈棕紅色至深棕色，五行對應火，象徵溫通與活絡。
藥性、性味歸經：性大熱，味辛，歸大腸、小腸經。
功效與應用：具有潤腸通便、消腫排膿、通經活絡的功效。常用於治療便秘、腸燥、瘡瘍腫毒及關節痠痛等。內服多為研末入丸或煎湯，但需去除毒性成分後使用；外用可搗敷於腫毒或瘡瘍處，有消腫化膿作用。
