核桃仁(學名 Juglans regia L.)為胡桃科胡桃屬植物成熟種仁。別稱胡桃仁、胡桃核、胡桃肉。常見種類有中國胡桃(Juglans regia)、黑胡桃(Juglans nigra)、日本胡桃(Juglans ailantifolia),以中國胡桃仁最大且油脂豐富,味香甘潤。

性味歸經:性溫,味甘、苦,入腎、肺、大腸經。

功效與應用:核桃仁具有補腎固精、潤肺止咳、潤腸通便之功。主治腎虛腰膝酸軟、遺精早泄、久咳氣喘、肺燥乾咳、腸燥便秘等症。常用於腎虛類方,如配合菟絲子、枸杞子補腎益精;治肺燥咳嗽可與杏仁、百合同用;治便秘可配火麻仁、郁李仁。核桃仁可炒熟內服或研粉入丸散,也常食用作堅果保健,兼具食療與藥用價值。
