肉豆蔻(學名 Myristica fragrans Houtt.)為肉豆蔻科植物成熟果核的乾燥種仁。別稱玉果、訶黎勒豆蔻、訶梨勒果。外形卵圓,具芳香辛溫氣味。常見種類以印尼肉豆蔻、斯里蘭卡肉豆蔻最常入藥,品質以香氣濃烈、油分高、質堅實者為佳。

五行顏色主要對照:褐色,應土(補脾止瀉、溫中和胃)。

性味歸經:性溫,味辛、苦,入脾、胃、大腸經。

功效與應用:肉豆蔻具有溫中行氣、澀腸止瀉、開胃消食之效。主治脾胃虛寒、食少腹脹、久瀉久痢、寒積腹痛、噯氣嘔惡。多配伍乾薑、黨參、白朮以溫中健脾止瀉;治久瀉滑腸可與罌粟殼、五味子同用;胃寒嘔吐可與半夏、陳皮合用。適量可入丸散,如“四神丸”治腎脾不足之五更瀉。因偏溫燥,陰虛火旺、便秘者慎用。
