🠴 Cucumber 🠶

學名:Cucumis sativus 別稱:黃瓜、胡瓜、青瓜、刺瓜、花瓜,為葫蘆科胡瓜屬一年生蔓性草本植物。原產於印度,現廣泛栽培於亞洲、歐洲與美洲地區,是常見的清爽蔬菜之一。植株具卷鬚,果實細長或短圓,表皮綠色或帶刺。

常見種類:依用途分為食用生食胡瓜(如青皮胡瓜、白皮胡瓜)、醃製胡瓜(如小黃瓜)、溫室胡瓜(果長而少籽)等。台灣常見品種有「改良青瓜」、「日本長胡瓜」與「四季小黃瓜」等。

性味歸經:性涼,味甘,歸脾、胃、大腸經。

功效:具清熱解毒、生津止渴、利水消腫、潤膚美容之功。可用於暑熱煩渴、喉乾口渴、水腫、肥胖等症。其籽亦入藥,名「胡瓜子」,能潤燥通便、利尿消腫。

應用:多作為涼拌、炒食、燉湯或醃製;生食能解熱生津,熟食則清香爽口。亦可製成胡瓜汁、面膜,具保濕與鎮靜功效,為日常飲食與美容常用植物。
