黃菊花(學名:Chrysanthemum morifolium),為菊科多年生草本植物之花,別名菊花、杭菊、金菊。自古為藥食兩用之名花,具有清香氣味與微苦甘味,常用於泡茶、煎湯及藥膳。古籍《本草綱目》載:「菊花味甘苦,性微寒,能平肝明目、清熱解毒。」

中醫認為,黃菊花性微寒,味甘、苦,歸肝、肺經。具有疏風清熱、平肝明目、解毒消炎、潤肺止咳之功效。主治頭痛眩暈、目赤腫痛、咽喉腫痛、風熱感冒、高血壓等症。入肝經可平肝息風、明目退翳;入肺經則清熱宣肺、止咳化痰。其性平和,尤適合長時間用眼或肝火上炎者飲用。

現代研究指出,黃菊花富含黃酮類、揮發油、菊苷、氨基酸及維生素C,具抗氧化、降血壓、抗菌、抗發炎、保肝與抗疲勞等作用。飲用黃菊花茶可舒緩眼睛疲勞、改善睡眠品質、清除自由基,並有助心血管健康。
